Ship in Subic |
It has been a tradition
for us to go to Subic Bay every summer. SCTEX has made it a lot easier to drive
there from Manila. I still remember when we used to take the old Porac or San
Fernando route—always been a hassle because of unpaved back roads on the way.

Beach resorts in Subic Bay
metropolitan authority or SBMA is a bit pricey compared to the resorts outside.
In my personal opinion, the huts they were renting for Php1500-2500 at All
Hands Beach is overrated considering the condition of those huts. It is not well
maintained and the whole place is run down already. If you drive outside SBMA,
you’ll find cheaper Subic resorts with decent facilities.
Subic Bay Ocean Adventure
is awesome! I love their shows especially the Dolphin and Sea Lion show. Their
admission rate for Adults is Php550 and Php440 for Children 12 yrs old and
below. If you want to make the most out of your money, I suggest that you go
there early in the morning. They open at 9am and closes at 6pm everyday.

Hotels in Subic Bay
Freeport Zone range from expensive to affordable. We always stay at Venezia Hotel since
they always have promos every time we go there. We paid Php1800 a night for a
standard room. Their rooms are big and fully equipped. Plus they also have free
WIFI and their front desk staffs were very nice and accommodating.
Subic Bay is really a nice place to hang out
with the family. Oh and while you are there, you might want to check out
Sweetwater Beach Resort in Morong, Bataan. It is just a few meters drive from
Morong Gate. The beach is really nice and the sand is white. We paid Php500 for
entrance fee and a hut.
I've heard Subic Bay's being developed really nicely. Judging by your pictures, I definitely heard right. I now know where I'm going for my next vacation.
